Cherry Hill Police Department Communications/911

The Cherry Hill Police Department recently opened a brand new State-of-the-Art Communications Center. This center is staffed by 12 Full Time Dispatchers and Call-takers as well as Police Officers. The Communications Center is the hub of a new 800 Mhz Digital Radio System that was recently installed throughout the Township. This new system replaces one that is over 15 years old. The Communications Center handles over 125,000 calls each year and is responsible for dispatching Police Units throughout our community. The Communications Center also acts as our own 911 answer point. When a resident of Cherry Hill calls 911, they are connected directly with the Cherry Hill Police Department. This provides a significant advantage in response time to the caller.
