Cherry Hill Police Department Investigative Division

The investigative division is staffed with one lieutenant, two sergeants, 12 detectives and four civilian personnel. Each member has an assigned duty and responsibility.

The division is comprised of highly trained detectives, who are instructed and schooled in various techniques of criminal investigations. They are responsible for follow-up investigations of all reported incidents such as suspicious deaths, assaults, sex related crimes, burglary, theft, fraud and auto theft.

There is a specialized unit that is active in the investigation of drug related offenses, intelligence gathering, liquor licensing, firearm applications, computer crimes, internet fraud, and identity theft in addition to the crime scene unit which utilizes scientific methods to assist detectives in their investigations.

The investigative division is dedicated to maintaining the highest degree of professional service to the community.
