Cherry Hill Police Department Traffic Unit

The Cherry Hill Police Department Traffic Unit is currently staffed by a total of 61 employees. This staffing consists of a Lieutenant, Sergeant, six sworn Police Officers, three civilian employees and fifty part-time school crossing guards. This highly motivated and trained team functions together to serve the needs of the 70,000 plus residents of Cherry Hill as well as the 250,000 vehicles that pass through our township each day.

Each officer in the Traffic Unit has received specialized training in vast areas of traffic related matters. Specific areas of training include child safety seat installation, advanced traffic accident investigation, traffic accident reconstruction, traffic planning and site location review, work zone safety issues, traffic engineering, as well as many other areas concerning traffic safety issues.
