“Since Mayor Platt’s return to office in 2003, he has been an advocate for our business community. He has worked with local businesses to maintain the strong commercial and retail base that has made Cherry Hill a regional destination for residents and businesses alike. Planning for a bright economic future in Cherry Hill, the Mayor has set out multiple economic goals for the Township:
- Foster business development by retaining and growing existing businesses, strategically attracting new businesses and improving entrepreneurial opportunities throughout the Township.
- Foster partnerships with local businesses, non-governmental organizations, civic groups, academia, residents, surrounding communities, et al, to develop policies that foster long-term economic growth and stability and to create a regional framework that will attract new investment to the region.
- Develop and implement long term, comprehensive visions that foster confidence in Township’s dedication to growing our community in a thoughtful and considered manner.
- Become a resource center for all businesses, new and old, large and small, providing educational information and acting as a clearinghouse for local, regional, state and national programs, data, and other relevant business information.
The Mayor has also appointed a Business Liaison to assist Cherry Hill businesses, or businesses interested in locating in Cherry Hill, with any situation that may arise.”
