Energy Outreach Intern Part-time. Unpaid.
It’s In Our Power Cherry Hill aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2 percent over 2 years and lower its carbon footprint.
We are seeking an intern to play an integral role in the It’s In Our Power Cherry Hill campaign by:
-- using social media (Facebook, Twitter, blogs) to do outreach and provide regular updates to the community;
-- write regular newsletter and email articles/blasts and website updates about the campaign
-- assist with community events
-- assist with outreach to community organizations
-- assist with data collection
-- devote 10-15 hours per week to It’s In Our Power
Qualifications:
1. Interest in and passion for sustainability;
2. Previous experience with, or demonstrated capacity to learn about, energy issues and best practices
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
4. High level social media skills.
5. Intermediate spreadsheet, record keeping and administrative skills
6. Prior experience with community organizing, outreach campaigns, canvassing, the New Jersey Clean Energy Program, or Sustainable Jersey are a plus.

Part-time Instructors for Youth, Adult and Senior Programming. The Cherry Hill Recreation Department is seeking part-time instructors for new and existing youth and adult workshops. Each season, the Recreation Department runs a variety of courses in sports, art, music, crafts and enrichment subjects for residents of all ages. Courses are held in various locations throughout the Township including Town Hall (820 Mercer Street), Croft Farm Arts Center (100 Borton’s Mill Road) and many of the Cherry Hill Public Schools. Primary responsibilities include general clerical (especially phone) duties and front-line community relations for the office of Mayor Chuck Cahn and the Township Business Administrator. Township residents (past and present) welcome.
Intern may assist with various projects including constituent and inter-government relations, research and writing, special event assistance, some desktop publishing, database maintenance, and general administrative support.
